Believe it or not, dozens of academic and research publications have come out in recent years with regard to the use of cannabinoids as a potential MS treatment. Here, we point out five of the most relevant studies to date. But beware — the information contained herein may make you violently angry when considering the fact that the government has not pursued clinical trials for the use of CBD on multiple sclerosis.

While they all, of course, rely on cannabidiol as the active component, some specific tinctures have shown to be more effective at treating symptoms stemming from MS than have others. While a full-spectrum cannabis CBD oil is thought to be the best option, these oils are often not available nationwide, as you typically need a medical marijuana license MMJ card and access to a legal dispensary to be able to purchase them.

With that said, there are a few companies that seem to be helping with various symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis. Read from multiple companies that doses as low as 5 mg a day should be enough. I think that the weaker mg are for stuff like anxiety.

For stuff like arthritis, ms, pain and inflammation I think you need the stronger stuff. Like others have said, I would really be waiting for additional clinical studies to be carried out on an actual CBD drug like Epidiolex that has measurable effects on MS. Everything stated outside of valid clinical trials is nothing more than speculation. I recently read an article where Dr. Blessing said that even to treat anxiety, people should be taking at least mg CBD per day.

For MS symptoms I would imagine this would be much, much more. Possibly a gram or more. I have been using Ultra Cell for 7mos and my blood work is incredible.

Also, we have gotten used to pharmaceuticals where if one is good two are better. In my case, one was okay but half was much better. I sell ultra cell and love it!! I have MS, diagnosed in , started taking ultra cell a couple mi the ago and feel a lot better! I have been suffering with MS since the first major attack but also had issues starting after i had my first child in In , i was told that they were sure it was MS. In june of , i was officially diagnoised.

It first started as glaucoma, no lupus, and several other things and then back to MS. This time they did MRI of my brain finding over 25 lesions. The spinal tap had 5 bands. My disability has progressed to the point before diagnoised with MS, i had a page full of seperate diagnosis that were actually symptoms of my MS.

The tremors got so bad i couldnt walk anymore. I refused to smoke because then i felt weird around people. Then i tried it once and the tremors stopped. Then i had someone show me CBD gummies recently. My best advice is to experiment, try a CBD oil, try different strains of marijuana.

Some trial and error can be very worth it. Where do you get your oil from? Hi Mutton, thanks so much. Very sorry for the delayed response, I was going through a bit of a rough patch! I get my oil from HempMeds. Great article Devin, I have never tried these things but I have been taking a little yellow pill someone share their information with me and in only 8 weeks I am feeling so much better, Sleeping better felling more refreshed when I wake up.

But its like the oil you use its not a cure, But after 23 years and the last 3 being the hardest any help I can get for myself I will. Thanks so much for sharing this is a new site for me and after reading somethings I think us MSers can share information in a positive way to help us all. You are preaching to the choir here regarding the benefits of medicinal marijuana!

So if I must be the guinea pig then so be it. The stigmas regarding marijuana are starting to subside. Doctors have to jump on the bandwagon and help get full legalization for this medicine! My wife might potentially be diagnosed or in the beginning stages of MS. Waiting for the good stuff in the mail now. The key word for me is neuro-protectant. My personal testimony for CBD relates to my cat. When we got her, she was having seizures like it was the thing to do.

We pumped her full of drugs to knock her out and break the cycle. Still after she slept for a day and was on meds regular, they always came back. I started giving her my own personal stash of CBD oil in a dropper. We have some specifically for animals now. My vet said CBD is the only thing that prevents him from having seizures related to a head injury. My wife symptoms have dissipated in the three days she has been taking it. I also put her on some high quality supplements from ONNIT to make sure she gets everything she needs.

I spoke to a naturopatic doctor and he suggested 50mg per day would be a good dose to start with. Sorry for the delayed response! Hopefully that begins to change. I hope your wife is doing well on it! Comment Created with Sketch.
